Anonymous As long as each person was open from day one about their respective beliefs. My husband had me believe that he was a Christian only to change to an Atheist a month into our marriage. It was a hard pill to swallow because although I’m not as zealous as some Christians, I am a churchgoer and believe in the power of prayer. When we married I felt that although he was Catholic as long as we both believed in God I could compromise. I refuse to talk religion with my husband because he is always trying to convince me that I’m wrong to believe in a higher power. As you can see it is a very sour button in our household. But, I think agreeing to disagree is the best option for us if we want our marriage to work. I consider myself a very tolerant person but one can only compromise so much.

Linkedin Comment HBO’s “Real Time” host and comedian Bill Maher made Pope Francis his latest target by making the remark that the pontiff might be an atheist because of his recent statement that even atheists can be redeemed. I think the pope might be an atheist like I think Obama is. And this Blood makes us children of God of the first class. We are created children in the likeness of God and the Blood of Christ has redeemed us all. Luckily we’ve got a spare pope.
In May , Maher said Republicans should nominate Tebow for president because he is a devout Christian. “Since all Republican voters want in a candidate is a devout Christian they should just go ahead and nominate Tim Tebow,” he said.
Introduction This Taxonomy answers 2 questions: Why do thousands of people around the world, who are not Molokan by faith, many despising Molokane, falsely claim to be Molokane? If not Molokane, what and who are they? Neither question has been asked, nor answered, before this simple Taxonomy. Why do so many falsely call themselves “Molokan”?
To hide a complicated, confusing and illegal history in Old Russia which misled descendants’ understanding of their origins; confused many with the similar term malakan; and, it is an easy and safe, though incorrect, word to use in English.

For example the American religious commentator Ann Coulter writes: So widespread is the claim that even many who accept that Darwinian evolution has been established as true, well beyond any reasonable doubt, also believe that Darwinian ideas were misused to justify Nazi atrocities. Are these claims correct? Indeed, the Nazi ideology underpinning the extermination of the Jews was opposed to and incompatible with Darwinism, instead being a religious and creationist doctrine.
Even such a staunch Darwinian as Richard Dawkins fails to appreciate how anti-Darwin the Nazis were, hugely underplaying the differences.

Pastor Ryan Bell made a strange New Year’s resolution in —he aimed to live a godless year. Bell, no relation to universalist Rob Bell, kept a blog to chronicle his yearlong journey without God and even had a documentary crew on hand to film what turned out to be his transformation from a Seventh-Day Adventist pastor to a full-blown atheist. I think that makes the most sense of the evidence that I have and my experience. But I don’t think that’s necessarily the most interesting thing about me.

Index to Bible Notes How to Witness to an Atheist The objective is to use the law to convict the conscience, as with any lost person. Nothing could be further from the truth. They considered faith a private affair. There was a time when Americans voted for candidates who were skeptical of core concepts of Christianity like the Trinity, the divinity of Jesus and the virgin birth. The question is, could any of them get elected today? The sad answer is probably not. Here are five founding fathers whose views on religion would most likely doom them to defeat today: The father of our country was nominally an Anglican but seemed more at home with Deism.

Christian refuses to drive bus declaring ‘there’s probably no God’ A devout Christian has become the first driver to refuse to get behind the wheel of a bus bearing an atheist poster declaring God probably does not exist. They have now agreed to accommodate his religious beliefs by letting him drive buses in Southampton that do not bear the controversial message, which has been supported by atheists including Professor Richard Dawkins, the evolutionary biologist.
It comes after more than people complained to the Advertising Standards Agency about the posters, which were created by Ariane Sherine, a comedy writer, as an antidote to religious adverts on public transport that “threaten eternal damnation” to passengers. The watchdog is now considering whether to investigate the campaign on the grounds that it is offensive, or that its central claim about God’s existence cannot be substantiated.
In interviews with The Christian Post, three well-known pastors discuss the dangers of “celebrity culture” within the Church and how the body of Christ should address this relatively new phenomenon.
This is an excellent post you know. I saw this video of Penn from Penn and Teller…and he asked the same questions. You know, I do tell people. As much as I can or as much as they will listen.
